Preschool

The Cascade Union Elementary School District (CUESD) believes that all children can learn. Our preschool programs are located on the Meadow Lane Elementary School and Anderson Heights Elementary School campuses. We recognize that learning looks different for every child, and that all children are capable of learning and growing at their own pace and in their own time. Preschool staff are committed to building strong relationships with you and your child. By working together, we learn what strategies best support your child, how to build on their strengths, and how to help them continue progressing to the next level of development. Our philosophy is to foster and nurture a love of learning through meaningful experiences that encourage discovery, exploration, investigation, choice, problem solving, and engaging hands-on activities. We believe that developing language and early literacy skills in fun and relevant ways is essential to preschoolers’ growth and plays a pivotal role in future academic success. Our program focuses on supporting the whole child, including cognitive development, language development, physical growth, and social-emotional well-being. CUESD’s preschool programs are state-subsidized early learning programs for children who qualify. Family income must meet state income eligibility guidelines based on family size in order to participate. Children must be two years of age to enroll and do not have to be toilet trained. The Cascade Union Elementary School District is proud to provide a nurturing, inclusive preschool environment where young learners feel safe, valued, and inspired to explore the world around them. We believe that strong partnerships with families are essential to a child’s success, and we look forward to working together to support your child’s growth, curiosity, and love of learning.
