Principal's Message

KMaki PictureWelcome Meadow Lane Eagles and families!

My name is Karen Maki, and I am the new principal at Meadow Lane Elementary School. I am so excited to get to know you! I have been a school leader for the past three years. I have also been an instructional coach, an intervention teacher, as well as a teacher of kindergarten, third, fourth, fifth and sixth grades.

Meadow Lane Elementary is an exceptional place to be, and we are pleased that you have chosen our school for your child’s education. At Meadow Lane we strive for excellence in all aspects of education. Our staff is committed to providing students with the highest quality of learning experiences.

Be Safe. Be Responsible. Be Kind and Respectful. Be Ready to Learn.

We believe that students should have the opportunity to learn and thrive in a safe, orderly, and caring environment.  The staff at Meadow Lane is committed to encouraging and recognizing safe, responsible, respectful, and kind behavior from all of our students.

Parent Partners

Education is a partnership between students, parents, and the school. When families are involved, their children are more likely to have better social skills, improved behavior, and adapt well to school.

There are many opportunities for families to get involved at Meadow Lane! Families and community members are welcome and encouraged to visit, observe, and volunteer.

Parents/guardians can also join our School Site Council to help develop, review and evaluate school improvement programs. Our Parent Club provides a partnership between parents and educators who strive to enhance student learning and enrich the lives of the students at Meadow Lane Elementary. Membership is open to anyone who wants to be involved and make a difference for the education, health, and well-being of children within our school.

Please watch for notes, fliers, newsletters, announcements, and website and social media posts for information on our upcoming school events.

We welcome you and hope that you will take the opportunity to become active participants in your child’s educational experiences this year!

Sincerely,

Principal Karen Maki
