Principal's Message

Tim Brace - PrincipalLet me be the first to welcome you to Anderson Heights Elementary School! I am excited to share with you a glimpse into this outstanding school community.

Anderson Heights Elementary School is nestled in a quiet neighborhood in Anderson. With our extraordinary staff, we serve enthusiastic learners in grades TK-5. While a lot of learning takes place inside these walls, I am always amazed at how much learning can take place beyond them. I encourage you to let your child practice math skills in the grocery store. Experience science together on a nature walk. Have your child write a letter to an aunt, uncle, or grandparent to practice spelling and language skills.

We take seriously our responsibility to inspire children to be creative, critical thinkers - academically, socially, physically, and emotionally prepared to move through the grade levels to future success in life, and we encourage you to become an active participant too! With COVID still taking its toll in our community, we are limiting contact at school, but there are still many opportunities waiting for you! Be a part of our school site council and give your input on the program here at school. Meetings are held using technology, so you don’t have to come to the school in person. Soon, we hope to be back to normal with volunteer opportunities, as well. Maybe you would like to help coordinate a special event or read a book to students.

We promise to keep you informed of what is taking place at school. We use a variety of communication tools – email, text messages, notes home – to make sure you are up to date with activities here.

Please call the school office if ever you have a question or a concern. We are here to link arms with you, working together to educate your child.
