[ViewBoard] Configuring Pen Tools in the myViewBoard App
Last Updated 14 days ago

We recommend using the marker tools from the myViewBoard program instead of the ones that appear on the pullout tabs on the left and right edges of the screen. The pullout tabs will sometimes encounter a bug that makes that disappear or freeze up, meaning that the pens are unavailable. The myViewBoard app also includes many more features not present with the other marker tool.

You can find the myViewBoard app on the Windows desktop of every Viewboard.

In the myViewBoard app, click the settings icon in the top right, then click the same settings icon in the new window that pops up.

Change the Autorun at Windows Startup setting to "Yes" and Default Mode to "Desktop". This will start the app automatically whenever you log in, and leave it in the mode where you can draw on top of whatever you're working on.

After these changes have been made, close out of the settings menu and restart the myViewBoard software for these changes to take effect. From this point forward, the myViewBoard software will automatically enter this mode when you log in. Once the program has restarted, you should see the toolbar open automatically. You can move the toolbar around by tapping and dragging on the icon with the four arrows.

Click the marker icon to switch between marker and mouse mode. You can not interact with or click on anything while in marker mode, so it is necessary to switch between the two modes.
