How to Clear Space in your Mailbox

If you are receiving notifications from Microsoft Outlook that your mailbox is nearly full, you need to remove unnecessary messages with large attachments to free up space.

- Click in the [Search Inbox] area of Outlook
- Click the [All Mail Items] button in the upper left corner
- Click the [Has Attachments] button; this will start the search
- Right-click somewhere in the circled area shown below and then select the [Size] option
- You should now see all your mail items sorted by size (as shown below); you will notice that it says [Arrange By: Size] and [Largest on top]
- If it says [Smallest on top] instead, simply click that area and the list will be resorted in the opposite direction
- Go ahead and delete emails near the top of the list that you don’t need anymore. When you are done, empty your trash by right-clicking the [Deleted Items] folder and then clicking the [Empty Folder] option, as shown below.
