Introduction

Cascade Union Elementary School District is located in the city of Anderson, CA and is comprised of four schools which serve approximately 1,300 students. At Cascade we are very proud of our students, staff and community.

Each campus in our district has a Learning Center where we are able to individualize instruction tailored specifically to each child’s needs. Each student is given a comprehensive set of assessments that identifies both their strengths and weaknesses in reading and math. If a student needs additional support in either area, it is provided in explicit small group instruction. Our Blended Services Team engages with our classroom teachers each trimester to review the progress of each student to make sure their educational goals are being met. This model has produced incredible results for our students.

Another strength of Cascade is our thorough implementation of technology in the classroom, where every school site is connected by a high speed fiber optic network to the Internet. We have a student to computer ratio of nearly 2:1 district wide. Technology is also integrated into the curriculum at every grade level.

We also have an award winning band/music program that is recognized as one of the best in Shasta County. Each year they participate in festivals, parades and community activities where they often win awards for their excellence. During the 2009/2010 year they have performed at the Family Fun Fest at Anderson River Park, at the halftime show for Anderson High School’s homecoming game, as well as in the homecoming parade.

Please feel free to contact us, we would be happy to show you our schools. Come see firsthand what makes, “Quality Schools, The Anderson Advantage!”

At Cascade, we are continuously improving student learning and working hard to exceed your expectations. For us, it’s all about our kids!
